As the Queensland government estimates that
the QLD population will grow to twice the
present size in the next few years, the
water supply cannot possibly come from the
usual sources. Luckily, Oz dullards are known
to love a bit of brown in their water and
have rejoiced at the wonderful taste of turd
in their morning coffee.
There was a small glitch in the new Beattie
water plan at first. Sometimes when a tap
was turned on, a hard brown floater would
fail to pass right through, but the problem
was solved with typical Oz brilliance -
a special stick was designed for probing for
stubborn murphies. This stick is now know as
the "BEATTIE STICK".
