AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE FLOCK BACK TO PM HOWARD

E-mail Print PDF
: blankblankblankblankblank
Latest polling in Australia shows that PM Howard's message of "Strong in Iraq, Strong on Terrorism" is resonating with the average Aussie voter. The flaky leadership of opposition leader Latham seems to be losing it's gloss as Australians realise that his appeasement of terrorists will lead to big trouble in the region.

It's good to see that the old fashioned values of loyalty and honesty are still alive and well in Australia; Australians know that the current PM Howard embodies them the best.

"Labor is back in an election-winning position, reversing poll results earlier this month, the latest Newspoll has found.

The survey published in The Australian shows that on a two party-preferred basis Labor has 52 per cent of the vote, against the Coalition's 48 per cent."

And here's another poll for you, Pate: a joint survey by the Yank ABC News and Washington Post shows that 52% of Americunts believe the Iraq war was "not worth fighting", 7 in 10 reckon Yank casualties were "unacceptable," and the figure for those confident the war has "enhanced long-term US security" has dived 11 points this year, to 51 per cent. You and your fucken polls!

Here's a nice little perspective on our "war on terror", make you Ossies feel nice and relaxed and comfortable, just like in Bushville:

"With the third anniversary of the war on terror fast approaching, the administration has not expanded the armed forces and apparently has no plans to do so. It categorically rejects proposals to revive the draft. It has left untouched the rituals of consumption deemed essential to the American economy. It has studiously refrained from curtailing corporate profits or prerogatives. Old-timers will recall when big wars meant rationing and higher taxes. Not this time. Through deficit spending, we will slough off the cost of war onto future generations. "
