and the fanatical disciples of Thatcher.
The bony, grasping claws of the John Howard
version of "fairness" may have been at last prised
from the throats of his many victims but they have
certainly left a lot of people deeply bruised.
The mechanisms of neoliberal state terror that the
little sweetheart put in place to oppress the sick
and poor, are still looming over public and
private life like Stalinist monuments.
The economic oppressions themselves were part of
the Howard Plague, and it is probably too much to
expect injustice and pointless economic oppression
to be lifted from the lives of the poorer
citizens, but hopefully the worst victimizations,
scapegoatism and sly demonizations of the Howard
Plague will not return any time soon with their
original frenzy.

When will you ever let up Chato? Australia is now run by the latte sippers favourite Kruddy. He even gave you the feel-good do-nothing apology you lot craved so much! But what will Kruddy and his union bosses do now that they and their state govt mates are starting to wreck Australia's economy with their rising interest rates and inflation? Kruddy can't keep blaming Howard for everything that is happening now. Digger, Cranbourne |

| There you go again Digger. It was a good try, but you and I both know who built the Howard/Costello "prosperity" boom (household debt) that the Rudd crew inherited. Or are you going to tell me that toxic John's adoring public rewarded him at the last election? Be careful, they may come for you with the nets and stun-darts! Ease up on the alcohol. |
