Australia celebrates homegrown terrorist

Ned Kelly is a perfect example of a terrorist. How hypocritical is it then that he has become somewhat of a celebrity? What if his example inspires other to defy the forces of law and order? Especially against the corrupt elements of our legal systen? Is this simply a case of the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist? On the other hand I don't think Heath Ledger is capable of inspiring anybody to do anything except maybe throw up. What say you all?

"Poor Ned you're better off dead."

"Blame it on the Kellys boys!"

Actually I always thought of Ned Kelly as an innovative inventor but, as seems to be be typical of Australian inventors, he lacked proper planning and implementation. His bulletproof vest was light years ahead of it's time!

Ned wasn't a terrorist. He killed a couple of people in self defence.

Policemen with weapons of mass destruction and carrying body bags, hunting him through the bush, who had all been heard bragging about how they didn't intend to bring back Kelly alive. He asked them to 'bail up' which was quite civilised but one of the dumb cunts leaped for his gun and tried to shoot him. Gee, wouldn't it be relaxing if all terrorists were as bad as Ned.

Must have been his mates then. He did however hold the town of Jerilderie hostage.

Well it was a long time ago. They didn't have nuclear bombs or chemical weapons back then but if they did I'm sure Ned would have used them to make his demands. It's all relative.

So Ned Kelly would of created a nuclear holocaust if he had the opportunity!

Ned's plan was to derail a train load of troopers coming to get him, but someone he had taken into his confidence (local school teacher, I think) betrayed Ned by sneaking out to flag the train town and warn the troopers what Ned was planning. After that, young Ned never stood a chance.

Bullshit! Ned - like most Aussies - just wanted to be left alone. The cops WERE out to get him.
