Something to suit the Gothic mood.

Poison my doomed soul

Tonight, a dismal wind saws the trees
Making them sigh
Not with anguish, but with nothing
Them not being like
The memory of a dark dream

A single vast desert sends
Horror beyond reason
Beauty and coldness from
Broad bleak swells of barren grounds

They came at us in darkness that night
From an endless bleak plateau
Flat, cruel and dark
Creeping agonies that had waited long

- Mal Ignant

" The tendency of old age to the body, say the physiologists, is to form bone. It is as rare as it is pleasant to meet with an old man whose opinions are not ossified. "
