A car often becomes a fairly long term companion
even though a mechanical object each car I have owned appears to develop a personality unique unto itself.
I have taken to giving each of my acquired cars names of their own
noting that I have only ever owned one car at a time.

Having filled you in on some of my thoughts regarding my mechanical companions
I have been deliberating on a new name for my current acquisition
and am pleased to advise that I have settled on a suitable name.

I have decided to name my current vehicle "The car".

Hat's off, gentleman?

The Endless Sea pounds the shore.

I remember visiting and Max and Trunk were there
I'm pretty sure that Tex was there too
It was a long time ago
but it was kinda later if you get what I mean
like it felt that I had been a long way away before visiting again
coming back
and what up and comes up on the screen but Tom marching down the street
a-pumpin' his arm back and forth holding a sabre or a band leader stick or something
and it felt like a few different worlds were colliding all at once
and Max did an impersonation singing along with the chorus for a moment and laughed
and Tom he just kept a-pumpin' and marchin along
