Truly great human beings don't commit suicide. And it's not a joke he's dead. Found dead on Sunday by his son in his fortified compound. Gunshot wound to the head. Apparently self inflicted.

Suicide is for wimps. It's the cowards option. It's not a sign of greatness. Nobody knows the future. Things change. If things look bleak today they may look better tomorrow.

Hunter S Thompson once suggested former President Bush should be brutally stomped by voters. He called former Vice President Hubert Humphrey "a hopelessly dishonest old hack," compared the late Sen. Edmund Muskie of Maine to a "vicious 200-pound river rat" and frequently dismissed former President Clinton as a white-trash hillbilly. In his memoir, of the current Bush administration: "They are the racists and hate mongers among us – they are the Ku Klux Klan."

The Great Gonz' has paid out on a fairly large range of people and organisations.

Let's say hypothetically that he didn't do the job on himself but was 'taken out'. Who would be the prime suspects?

The more I think about this, the more I am certain that if Mr Duke was going to intentionally top himself, he would have written something about it - journo death note, mileage, posterity... article to end all articles. If something doesn't appear soon I am going to be very cynical about this 'suicide'
