Nobel Peace Prize Winner in favour of Iraq War

The East Timorese foreign minister and Nobel Peace Prize winner Jose Ramos Horta makes the case for war. He takes the Iraqi people's point of view and compares their suffering under Sadaam with the people of East Timor's suffering from Indonesia and reminds us all of a time when East Timor's civilians were crying out for foreign military intervention and noone would come! Sadaam must be removed to ease their suffering even if there are many civilian deaths. I heard him on the radio this evening and I must say he made a very convincing argument and took me completely by surprise as I considered his words and found myself agreeing with him. Sadaam is not an angel and has killed and tortured hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Neither is Bush of course and no matter what the US motivation for this war perhaps there is a some kind of positive aspect to it. I'm confused. Is there ever a just war? Could be good? Could be bad? Have to wait and see, Max? Where are you Max? Can War ever be a good thing? Will we ever have enough information to make a judgment call? It will be good for some and bad for others. On both sides.
