In my bed room the light fitting is a model of Carbon Tetrachloride. It has the centre as the Carbon atom; a nucleus surrounded by promiscuous electrons, ready to share themselves with any atom that comes around.
The light globes, 3 of which are the Chloride mates for this Carbon…
And the stem that rises to the roof supplies the last Chloride.
