EAST TIMORESE NATIVES WELCOME BIG CHIEF JOHN HOWARD

They were out in force in Dili today to welcome the founder of their nation John Howard. The crowd thronged round his cavalcade as he made his way from the airport.

“He is hero, the founder of our nation!” they cried in unison.

The natives were whooping for joy the day John Howard came to town


They gathered at the reception hall for the Australian Leader.


The armed gangs put down their weapons when their hero arrived

The newly elected leader of the Nation told John Howard:

"You are our hero. Our saint. God Bless you John Howard."
