BREAKTHROUGH IN LUNG DISEASE

Australian Scientists have made a breakthrough in the search for a cure for the chronic lung disease bronchiectasis, a severe form of bronchitis. They have discovered that patients with this disease have an impaired immune response to the common bacteria Nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) which infects their airways. This in contrast to normal people who are able to successfully clear this infection.
It is hoped that the scientists involved will make a fortune from this discovery as it might apply to all forms of bronchitis!

    More likely a foreign pharmaceutical conglomerate will buy the rights and that'll be the end of that.

    More evidence of impaired immune response in the human race. They should be educating people on how to boost their immune systems and reducing the causes of impaired immune response. Treat the cause not the symptom...

    first you need to understand what the impairment in the immune system is. then hopefully it can be fixed. but the immune system, as with most biological systems, is pretty complex.
    How can you "boost" the immune system? You need more than half-assed new age ideas!

    Well kind sir I believe it is due to an influx of foreign material, ahem, maybe I might be impolite to say, but I think it is an inert organic material derived from melting sand, ahem, silicone I do believe.
    Nonetheless it's ductile properties do facilitate some advantages, both in terms of movement and feel. In fact if she was to rub them in your face I'm sure you would feel very nice all over.
