Our troops may well have fought for freedom, but that's not what John Howard sent them overseas for. The American invasion of Iraq was an evil act that deposed an evil tyrant, but - Saddam Hussein's demise was a peripheral outcome, not the central aim. We are all diminished by these things... god help us.

Patriot, are you a member of the Australian Defence Forces? If not, why not? If you are so patriotic, why are you not in Iraq fighting for our/your freedom and safety? Why, because you, like the rest of the conservatives, send the underclass to fight your battles. You are a pathetic excuse of a human being.

Osama Bin laden and George W Bush both claim to be heeding "god"s call. Both need to be locked-up in a padded cell at the earliest opportunity, preferably together. A much larger cell, naturally, should be filled with their lunatic supporters.

Anyway, you didn't answer my question: If you are a patriot, why are YOU not in Iraq fighting the terrorists? If you are too old (or too cowardly), send your sons. There is nothing more patriotic than having your sons butchered in war for their country.
