So now we learn that John Howard's hand-picked government drone to head the erroneously named Fair Pay Commission was a director of a company that went belly-up, owing dumped employees over $700,000. This on top of the Liberal Party mega-donor who was recently forced to resign his cushy job on the board of the Reserve Bank after revelations about his company's tax evasion "dispute" with the Tax Office. Ah, yes, the Liberal Party! It's not politics or public service, it's business!

    As in the United States, so too in Australia: the corporate/conservative alliance believes it has a divine right to rule. It sees no diffeerence between its business interests and that of national leadership. As others have already pointed out, there IS a war on: a class war, with socio-economic divisions entrenched by the cruel, greedy and aggressive policies of Bush in the US and Howard Downunder.
