I am a strong proponent of Mandatory Voting for everyone, except drug addicts and convicted felons.

The penalty for not voting should be a temporary loss of citizenship and all rights that citizenship provides. If someone is a reapeate offender, then citizen rights should be permanently revoked and the offender should be forced to leave the country or become a second class citizen.

I love the gun laws. If I am struggling at my job or am inadequate I can shoot my boss or whoever. This is the true meaning of liberty.

Who exactly is "the World", Lemmyng? Why should I be one bit concerned what "The World" thinks about Americans? Do you think "The World" is in love with White Australians? Are your people more loved than mine?

People love to hate and loath those that are successful, and cheer on those that are down-and-out or unsuccessful. I don't rightly know why, just human nature I guess. For example, people will spend decades trying to figure out why the crazy chink randomly murdered 36 people. They will feel sorry for him (I've already heard two students express this). They will wonder what bad things people did to him to make him that way. They will pitty him because he was bullied or taunted. They will pray for him. However, hardly anyone, other than the victims' familes, will remember the innocent that were murderd. The media could care less about what made them tick, what kind of people they were, what bad or naughty things other people did to them.

So, Lemmyng, I feel quite honored that the world does not pitty me, does not feel sorry for me, and even loaths me some. That translates into envy and jelousy, which confirms that I, and America are on the right path. The path of industriousness, the path of success, competitiveness and vigilence.

Perhaps you and Australians loath me and Americans, partly because we can have guns, can have military weapons, and you can't. The fact that any American owns firearms should be completely irrelevant to Australians or Europeans. We cannot affect those people with our guns, even if we so desired. But, it serves as a reminder to the people of Australia and the people of England that they secceeded their rights and freedom to their governments in a quest for "safety", and false relief from fear of harm. It also serves as a thorn in the side of European and Australian governemnts that the people could one day demand their guns back; could demand their rights and freedoms back from their governments. That scares them. People like me scare them. Free people like Americans scare them. That means that we Americans have not yet been stripped of all of our freedoms, and that "fear" and loathing, is really respect.

As for semi-automatic weapons. First of all, many semi-automatic weapons are used for hunting, both shotguns and rifles. The fact that they are semi-automatic doesn't mean they necessarily have more than 3 or four bullets in them.

However, higher capacity semi-automatic versions of military rifles are generally designed for killing people. There are times during riots, war, rebellions, oppressive governments, that people need to be killed in self defense. If your oppressors, or potential oppressors take away all means to fight, then aren't you wide oppen for an evil regime to have their way with you? Just because a government is benevolent today, there is no guaranty that it will be benevolent toward your or your decendents tomarrow. Unless the right to own firearms is guaranteed to you regardless.

Don't worry, our world famous Aussie politicians will save us. Just pray for rain, everything is okay. Just trust them...

According to the laws, some people are allowed to own guns for protection when moving around dangerous wildlife, or for recreational shooting. There was a reason for this legislation which was valid. It is not a natural "right" to own firearms. The sick individuals who want to solve their personal problems with random killing show the need to control who owns weapons. Gun dealers cannot distingish who is who. Wildlife rangers have the job of controlling and managing crocodile numbers, and they also need protection. Most of Australia's wildlife do not cause a threat to humans - the reverse is true! Ansell should not have objected the way he did. If he had a valid reason for his gun then there may have been a peaceful ending. It is not guns that kill, but people. Disputes should not be solved with violence.

The other thing that happened when that 4-eyed cunt stole our guns was the explosion in crocidile numbers. You can't walk around Darwin nowadays without stepping on one. Prior to Howards disarming of the population we could control numbers naturally with our guns but now the crocs are out of control.

Guns are actually very inefficient for mass murder. Semi-autos are really best used as defensive tools.
