What will change the future behavior of the Australian Media ? I am a member of the public and I want truth in reporting not gossip. They have successfully turned Schapelle into an object unworthy of the most basic human compassion by her countrymen.

The only reason that the US invaded Afghanistan was to avenge the 9/11 attack on the twin towers. This invasion was not justifiable by any means.

The 9/11 attack was a crime against humanity perpetrated by a few individuals, mostly Saudi Arabian nationals. Those who committed the crime should have been dealt with by appropriate international laws, instead of via a full-scale armed attack on Afghanistan.

According to reports, the Afghan Prime Minister at that time offered to capture Osama bin Laden and hand him over to the US, if the US could provide some evidence of his implication. The US refused to provide evidence and, contrary to international law, invaded Afghanistan.

Now the US war in Afghanistan is spilling into Pakistan. News reports indicate that an air attack on Iran by the US/Israel is imminent. Conflagration throughout the area appears inevitable.

Clearly, negotiation with the Taliban is the only course if NATO forces are to avoid being locked into an endless war in Afghanistan. But that's just for starters.

There's the ongoing horrors inflicted by the US on the people of Iraq.

It is time for Australia to reconsider its continued complicity with US militance and criminality.

And the Bush administration must be held accountable for its crimes against humanity.

There is a striking similarity in the victimasation plot by the Australian press of chapelle Corby and Lindy Chamberlain. The same outright lies, the same vilification, the same irrelavant accusation of their families and friends.

This video is fantastic. So many Aussies seem to think that propaganda only happens in the US. No way, the Corby case is the ultimate example of how textbook propaganda has been used to blind us from the facts. Remember how the Howard government kept telling the public to stay calm, that they would intervene after Corby's legal processes were finished? Well, while the legal processes were underway, the media set about destroying her character and smearing her family. By the time the legal processes were finished, most Aussies barely cared anymore. Coincidence? I think not.
At the time of Corby's arrest, one brother out 5 siblings had been in trouble with the law. Even the most conservative of families are capable of having a child that goes down the wrong path. Her father had been fined for possession of marijuana in the 70s, but no-one knew until he mentioned it to a reporter, and everyone from politicians to celebrities have admitted to smoking pot in the 70s. Why the double standard for Corby?
Years after Corby's arrest, her other brother broke into the home of drug dealers - he claims he was tipped off that they were linked to the case. Instead of probing further into his claims, where there may have been a real story, the media waved the story around as "proof" of Schapelle's guilt.
The whole nation seems to believe the family are dealing drugs but there is not a shred of proof!
