WHERE CAN I SMOKE POT MAN?

While many countries are being run like police states nowadays, there are a few countries where smoking marijuana is not a criminal offence. These tolerant countries include Iran, Cambodia, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Argentina, UK (as long as you possess no more than 3 grams), Czech Republic, Ecuador and Estonia.

Pot is kind of de-facto legal in Pakistan. In Peshawar and in the northern parts of Pakistan smoking hash is quite acceptable and is even sold openly in markets. One can be jailed for 6 months in other parts of Pakistan however small bribes can get you off.

The real winner, however, is Peru where it is totally legal to smoke pot unless you are holding other illegal drugs!

    Provocative posting this one. One may ask in these days of globalisation and international business integration why we even have countries anymore. I mean, who would give a damn about the laws of some minnow like Laos for instance?

    I know I don't. And that is why I go there for my holidays ;)

    In the end I think we should only take notice of laws of the countries that matter. ie the Anglo Saxon nations. Given the fact that we invented law it only seems reasonable.

    I mean, who would want some yellow skinned judge judging them? These people have never lived under proper laws; their legal skills must be called into question.

    For me the Judge has gotta have a wig and the barrister a London strut before I would obey any laws from these tinpot nations.

    Great topic Xenox! It is truly astounding that a natural product that is used by such a high percentage of people from all walks of lives can be illegal!

    The plant, cannabis sativa, is a weed with absolutely no medicinal properties besides that as a mild analgesic to relax the mind before a vasectomy.

    And any response against this that includes 'big pharma' conspiracy is obviously from someone suffering from the side effects of too much inhalation of cannabis sativa products.

    Oh really? What comes across here is that your 'solid logic of modern medicine' consists of a 20 second google search and then a quote from some website that suits your limited personal view, but I suppose that is the way of modern science in the communication age.

    Perhaps if you add some references to some real studies you might gain some credibility.
