In its plot to invade Iraq, among the plethora of lies promoted by the unscrupulous administration of George W Bush was the spectre of Saddam's imminent "Weapons of Mass Destruction". As with conventional weaponry, however, it is the United States which continues to pose the greatest security threat to the world.

And it is the fraudulent US president George W Bush who is leading the charge in biological weapons development.

Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka believes geography is more important than history.

Says Soyinka: 'History can always be cooked up, written from the winner's point of view. History is 90 percent fiction. Geography is the material reality from which everything else derives."

Soyinka's dictum also explains why arrogant frauds like George W Bush and his venal supporters do what they do and get away with it.

In the United States, as in Australia, it seems there is no stopping our lying national leaders as they steamroll over hard-won democratic rights and core democratic principals. As far as America's mainstream press and broadcast media are concerned, the bigger the scandal concerning the Bush administration, the less they care to investigate.
