Among the crusading US President's core constituencies is one acutely demented group of bible-bashers praying for environmental degradation and the end of the world.

The "neo-con" zealot who helped the Bush administration spread its lies about Saddam Hussein's imminent WMD theat to the world has been handed the presidency of the World Bank on a platter.

With a fanatic like Paul Wolfowitz in charge, the World Bank - its role and effectiveness in assisting developing nations always suspect - can now quite rightly be called the Bush Bank of Amerikkka.
